We are very happy with our pondless stream that Creative Cascades completed for us. We wanted something to remind us of the natural springs in the welsh mountains. Richard was very creative and designed and built from scratch a very natural looking water feature. We have already recommended him to family and friends. It’s a brave man who sets out to emulate nature’s beauty…but Richard’s up for the challenge, and we are blown away by his recent creation in our garden. Even in the damp November gloom we are drawn outside day and evening (it has underwater lighting) to soak up the sights and sounds of our verdant rocky pond and waterfall. It is so alive and so magical, and already it’s a magnet for our local wildlife. Richard has transformed a bare and barren patch of grass into something soul-nurturing and life-enhancing.
We very much admire Richard’s ability to mould the environment like a sculptor, undeterred by the practicalities of manoeuvering a few tonnes of earth and rocks…he is creative and gifted, with the eye of an artist….and also an epic planner and methodical worker, very ‘on’ the detail. To top it all (we know this sounds grovelly but it’s true!) he is warm, enthusiastic, professional and an excellent communicator. VERY highly recommended.

To write this review I specially set-up a Google account as I wanted to share my thoughts. We knew we wanted a waterfall to remind us of our walking holidays in the Austrian Alps, but were anxious about appointing a firm to be able to create the sort of thing we had in mind.
We initially spoke to some landscapers who were keen to do the job but we felt we needed a specialist. Richard ended up spraying a diagram on our lawn and from that moment we knew we'd found the right person. His enthusiasm and attention to detail are boundless and we now have a wonderful waterfall that looks like it's always been here. Never have we had a more thorough and tidy job!

Recently moved to a 'new' house with large garden and large pond. The pond had been neglected, full of sludge and leaves from a large willow tree. It was in need of lots of attention. Richard Butler (Creative Cascades) did an excellent job, draining, sludge removal and cleaning of filter and pump etc. Pond is now fish friendly and returned to former glory. Excellent work for a fair price, could not recommend more highly.

Having just moved house I wanted to create a new pond for our existing fish, having dug an enormous hole I was not able to progress, being unable to source rocks in lockdown.

Want the 'wow' factor in your garden? Look no further. We feel very fortunate to have found Creative Cascades. We weren't entirely sure of what we wanted but Richard was an amazingly safe and creative (it's true!) pair of hands; happy to make suggestions when it was obvious we didn't really have a clue. All we knew was that we wanted to hear the sound of water and have something lovely to look at from our kitchen and patio. He delivered on both and so much more. When Richard from Creative Cascades first visited us to discuss our plans for a water feature, he was full of ideas and suggestions. We wanted a low maintenance, totally natural falls and pond and that is exactly what Richard has built for us. This was not a cheap project, but with the quality of the equipment and the attention to detail, it was money well spent. To say we are totally delighted is an understatement.
Due to limited access, almost 3 tonnes of materials had to be hand delivered to our garden. Every rock had been specifically selected by Richard from the stone yard. The groundwork was all done manually. My wife and I were consulted every step of the way and Richard happily applied the adjustments we discussed. We now have a small piece of beautiful Cumbrian countryside next to our patio. The sound of running water is a joy and we are already seeing wildlife coming to visit and use the new facilities.

My new waterfall is gorgeous, everyone says how relaxing it is. I sit gazing at the water for hours on end. I was nervous about spending my holiday fund on this but I needn't have been and am so glad I took the plunge (excuse the pun).
